1.
You took your foot off the gas / So who you blaming now? / All the fingers are ah pointing / Everybody's having cows / You better not start laughing / Because humor's not allowed / The gritting of their teeth / Is a lot louder than their dreams / They're choosing up their sides / They're picking out their teams / Everybody's losers! Are we winning? No, it seems! / I can't turn off all the thoughts in my head / I want to be left alone / There's way too much that takes space in my brain / I want it all to be gone / The world is going mad / That's what all the headlines read / Visions are ah kicking / And they're gnawing at my head / So I'm running inside / To throw my face into my bed / Grab the dirt off the ground / And grind it in your hand / Build your house on the Rock ? And not the sinking sand / Turn your face to the Son / Like any dying man
2.
In my room / With the beeping and the wurring / I can hear somebody out there / Somebody wants somebody / Somebody wants them now / In my room / I lie quietly and I'm hurting / And I still hear somebody out there / Somebody out there / In my room / I still can't sleep / I still am hurting / Am I the somebody, somebody out there? / Somebody, somebody out there

World Chimp 02:14
Outside he found a monkey / It ran away from the zoo / He taught it how to play cards / And chess and checkers too / Ne named the monkey Chester / Because he had a limp / But since he was good at games / Also called it World Chimp / The monkey became famous / A master of all games / He was known around the world / And went by both his names
6.
Sometimes 02:27
Sometimes I'm sad, I've got it bad / Sometimes I'm mad, don't know what I had / Sometimes I'm mad, don't know what I got / Sometimes I'm here / I don't know why / Sometimes I'm sad / Sometimes I'm not
7.
Limbo 12:03
Nothing is for sure / Floating up in the air / Got my feet off the ground / I'm being held up by sound / Limbo... / No decision is made / All that was clear starts to fade / No direction is took / They can't hear, they can't look / Limbo... / Nothing is carved in stone / The worry won't leave you alone / Divine Presence is needed / None of the warnings were even heeded / Limbo…
8.
Masterpiece 05:40
A masterpiece, a piece of the Master / Not put together with paint or plaster / Well planned out and wonderfully made / Every part, every texture and light and shade / Not one is better than all the rest / Each is unique and all are the best / You are well designed, every part a purpose / Every cell value, a gift to the universe
9.
Some say it was for the good / And others for the bad / It's been so long / I can't remember what we had / It's not the same anymore / Some of them were lifted up / And others hit the floor / So am I wrong to say that love is gone? / It went out the door, it went out the door / It's not the same anymore / Some put their trust and faith in God / And others go another way / And some of them sing their simple songs / And try to live their best each day / It's not the same anymore
10.
It's a Dylan morning / With a gray sheet for the sky / There's a light spray in the air / I think it's trying to cry / And Bob is playing in my ears / I'm listening to the sadder years / For some that's going on now / Yeah, I'm listening to the sadder years / Sitting, just compost sifting / A nice break from the hate filled threads / I see screaming out from the screen / From the hidden brave wishing others were dead
11.
That Crap 02:25
Don't give us that crap... / You got two tongues wagging out the sides of your face / You get no respect / Can't duck the disgrace / Sugarcoat all the lies / Try to past them as truth / We see through the disguise / It still smells like puke / The clock is ticking / On your numbered days / But there's still time (maybe) / To change your evil ways
12.
You judge me for what I think / You don't know me / You judge me for what I say / You don't know me / You judge me for what I do / You don't know me / You're not the Judge, you don't know me / You don't know me
13.
When 02:48
When your day is looking dim / You can always lean on Him (2x) / When your day is looking dim / When your hope is growing thin / Don't try to box God in (2x) / When your hope is growing thin

This isn't me / It's not who I am / The process took me away and put me in this man / My mind is dull / Yes, I've lost the edge / I want to get back but can not cross the bridge / This isn't me / It's somebody else / This doesn't feel real / It's weird, it feels false

about

First off, I want to say, not everybody is going to like the whole album... but maybe at least a few of the songs. This album began with Dylan Morning. The lock down had just kicked in... we were out doing yard work... I was sifting compost with my headphones on listening to Bob Dylan... and then there was a misty rain that kicked in a little later while we were out there. At the time I didn't know I was actually going to be doing another album, but the song came to me that day. There were so many songs to follow. Some songs are still coming to me. So... this is part one.

Most of the songs came to me in 2020. They continued up into this year. I know that I'm not much of a singer, musician or songwriter (Don't quit your day job type of thing.) but it's in me to do it... I can't help it, it's just there. Songwriting... there have been songs in the past where I've gotten pretty wordy... but most of these aren't that way... and that's OK. I figure if Lennon can get away with writing I Want You... if you don't know the song look it up... then some of my songs can get by on their amount of words. This album leans more to a serious side than some of my past projects. Some lyrics get pretty dark compared to other songs I've written. The way the world has been these past few years, how can you avoid not getting crapped on? I know that some of the lyrics may offend some people. I can't help that. It's one of those things where if you don't like the song, then don't listen to it. Whoa Den... you're getting a little heavy duty there!

I put the lyrics up for these songs just in case you were interested. Click on the actual song titles to see them. Also... the backgrounds to some of the songs and credits. I am so thankful for the musicians that were willing to be a part of this project. They add so much to the songs! This is only part one of this album. You'll hear more from them in part two.

If you purchase the whole album you get Hidden Bonus Tracks and PDFs of some of my drawings that I did during those 2 years. You can even print them out to color in. Just a heads-up... if you're going to burn the songs to a CD to play, they won't all fit on one disc.

Put your headphones and check it out!
