Hey! 03:22
HEY! I don't want to be like you / HEY! I've got better things to do / HEY! Don't try to tie me up with rules / HEY! I'll be me and you be you
2.
Doogah 02:46
3.
She wasn't with anybody / As far as I could see / Listening in the corner / Where the lights barely reach / And when the room became murmurs / She got a little quiet too / You could hear her whispers / Was it all about you? / You can tell she likes the music that's playing / In the shadows, here silhouette's swaying / The crowd slowly slips out the door / But she sticks around just in case there's more
4.
It's getting dark out / And it's not the night / It's the clouds, the clouds / It's more than the clouds / It's what's inside of the clouds that's bad / What will rain down on us / The clouds of doom / They're in the papers / And in the news / All over the internet / And anything we view / I can't do anything about it / I can't / There's only one I know that can get rid of these (3x)
5.
Focused 04:49
What once was right / Is now all wrong / Where do you keep your eyes... focused? / The waves are crashing / All around / Don't let them pull you down / Keep your eyes focused
6.
Hezzuh Mr. E 02:24
7.
Gotta Scoot 04:08
He's got things to do / He's got a list in his pocket / He's gotta get goin' / He's a human rocket / He can't be just hangin' around / He's got those Jimmy Legs / Watch him hit the ground / Hey, he's over here / Now he's over there / Gotta keep movin' / He's scootin' everywhere
8.
I know how to read a book / And to catch a fish you need a hook / I can ride a bike if I really need to / And feed peanuts to the monkeys at the zoo / But everybody tells me / I can't sing the Blues I can play guitar in my sleep / And have deep thoughts but not too deep / Sometimes I can doodle all day long / Or sit in a park and write a song / But everybody tells me / I can't sing the Blues When I'm hungry I can eat some food / And can say things like groovy and dude / And when it's sunny I can take a walk / Or draw on the cement with some chalk / But everybody tells me / I can't sing the Blues
9.
Huh? 03:21
I don't know / What are you trying to say to me? / Is it nice or is it something quite nasty? / Leave me alone / Why do you keep bugging me? / Go away and leave like a tree
10.
Runny 03:06
11.
Bigger Plan 03:24
There's a whole lot of stink in the air / From all the crap that's hitting the fan Chorus: But keep it cool, man. There's a bigger plan (2x) Some people have their heads way up in the clouds / Others have theirs buried in the sand We're watching the puppets put on a show / Some just aren't good and the rest are just plain bad
12.
So Low 02:29
What I'd like to know / How can something that nasty come out of a face like yours? / Something so low / Is your mind so blind? (3x) / All you spew is darkness
13.
It's OK 04:20
I like the sun on a Summer afternoon / And I don't mind the feel of the Fall gray gloom Chorus: It's OK, it's OK that way / It's OK, it's OK that way I like loud music when I'm in the right mood / But if it's in the morning, I have to leave the room Sometimes I'm around people, I need to earn my pay / And sometimes I need the peace and just keep away I feel OK, I could live another 30 years / Or I could go tomorrow and leave behind the tears
14.
The right kind of tune is swirling through the air / Grabs me by the ears, then I'm gone / Colliding colors, growing up out of the green grass / Become more brighter as the sun goes down Chorus: Sometime this Summer I'm going to take it in / Sometime this Summer ooooo / Sometime this Summer I'll save it in my mind / Sometime this Summer yeahhh I want to stick my feet in the warm sand at the beach / And hear the water slap against the land / The waves go in and out, revealing sparkling stones / See their roundness glisten in wet sand It makes me want to smile / There's sunshine everywhere / I have to tell you, it's my favorite season / Feel the heated air and the breeze goes through my hair / I never want it to ever end
15.
16.
Destroy the enemy to your destiny / You have permission to have your dreams
17.
Rather 02:33
I'd rather die / For the love I can't see / Than to live off the hate / You seem to breathe / I'm not the judge / It's not my responsibility / But there's a truth / You choose not to believe

Off Bass 03:01

Memento Mori 05:23
What do you want me to say? / One of my friends just died today / And another is on his way / So what do you expect me to say? / Thoughts and feelings are in limbo / Throughout all of the year / That's all I ever hear / Another's gone / That's what I hear / It hurts to have them go / But they're better off / That's what I know
21.
Aura Melt 07:11
My mind was set on travel mode / That rainy night on the glistening road / Just sitting back, enjoying the ride / When suddenly, our worlds collide Chorus: I'm sorry I didn't see you / I've always thought you were beautiful / I didn't mean for it to end this way / And watch your aura melt away I'd take it back if I could / Avoid the bad and keep all the good / The world has a way of switching rules / Throw down the kings, lift up the fools

about

I realize that the kind of music I make isn't for everyone... especially some of the songs on this album... either it will be my attempt at singing, the lyrics or the style of music... and that's OK, because there's music I don't listen to also. One of my goals was to make some music that I normally wouldn't have come up with... like the song She Likes Music. I wanted to see if I could do it. Another one is Sometime This Summer. It has a 60s/Hippie/California kinda feel to it.

Some songs hardly have any lyrics... and that's OK (Think of Lennon's I Want You)... I just wanted to go for it sometimes and didn't bother to flesh out the lyrics. Inspiration for the songs come from all over the place. Like somebody saying a sentence, something I saw on the news, how I was feeling at a certain time, the weather... all kinds of things. Click on the song titles (links) to see backgrounds and lyrics to the songs.

The reason for the higher price for purchasing the whole album: BONUS TRACKS! Including the Bonus Tracks... this album is a few seconds short of 3 hours. More songs, alternate versions, extended versions and instrumental versions of some of the songs. AND... PDFs! A CD cover and tray card that you can print out and use in a jewel box if you decide to burn a Mixed CD of your favorite songs from this album. But wait, there's more! There are several PDFs of art that I made during the years I was recording this album. You can print them out and color them or just look at them.

About the cover art: In high school, I took a Graphic Arts course... it included photography. What I used for the cover was something I did by burning a negative with a match and then I put it in the enlarger, blew it up and made a print from it. Back then I didn't know I was going to end up using it for one of my album covers 50 years later. Also what you see here is the tamer cover version. When you download the whole album, you also get the PG13 version, which could be kind of disturbing to some.
