The inspiration for the lyrics: I was at a workshop watching a DVD and one of the speakers said this... "Forget what is left behind. Get rid of the enemy of your destiny. We have permission to dream." I already had the music recorded but didn't know if I would leave it an instrumental or not... so I plugged in the lyrics. I guess I could have come up with more words... but I was either not in the mood to do it or thought I'd ruin the song trying to come up with anything deep to go along with what I already had. One of the Bonus Tracks is the song without the vocals. I know... it has a Pink Floydish sound to the music... the more I added to it, it went in that direction. Also in parts, the guitars remind me a little of The Moody Blues. I left a bass guitar off on purpose.
